HOW IT ALL STARTED
Dressed to Deliver 3-in-1 Birthing gowns were created, because I know from experience that you feel miserable in the ugly blue, reused hospital gown! It will leave your backside exposed and is NOT functional for the monitors during L&D and for skin-to-skin with your newborn! So...we fixed it! By creating a design with the birthing mom in mind!
HOW WE FIXED IT!
The secret is our signature design. We have actually created EVEN more access than the traditional hospital gown, and you only need to be uncovered when it is necessary! Plus, our quality fabric washes perfectly and can be worn for nursing or multiple births!
FETAL MONITORING ACCESS
There is no easy access to put the fetal monitors on you while wearing the traditional hospital gown. You will have to pull the entire gown up, which will just get in the way and pull on your neck.
With our gowns, you can unsnap a few snaps to gain this access. Our gowns are also comfortable and stylish enough to wear to your doctor and ultrasound appointments and you can simply unsnap during your checkup
IMMEDIATE SKIN-TO-SKIN AND NURSING ACCESS
Most hospital gowns don’t have adequate access to share skin-to-skin contact with your baby, let alone access for nursing! Inevitably, you will end up taking it off completely. We created our gowns so that you have immediate skin-to-skin and nursing access when your baby arrives into this world. Our extremely soft bamboo fabric is also perfect for your baby’s sensitive skin, rather than a hospital gown that has been used multiple times and washed with harsh chemicals.
EASY EPIDURAL AND I.V. ACCESS
As with the traditional hospital gown, our birthing gowns have full access for Epidural administration. The benefit of our gowns is that once the epidural is administered, you can snap your gown back up and still be completely covered. And with the easy shoulder access, your IV will not get tangled up like with the traditional hospital gown which has access fabric.
We guarantee that our gowns are washable and will clean completely. Simply throw it in the washing machine on warm and tumble dry on delicate or hang to dry!
POSTPARTUM & NURSING
Our luxurious, extremely soft, bamboo fabric is breathable, anti-microbial and washes up perfectly, so that you can wear it postpartum for nursing & bonding with baby.
If you are already in your last few months of pregnancy you know what it feels like when your legs are swollen, your clothes feel restricting, and many fabrics make your skin itch!
That’s why our 3-in-1 gowns are made from extremely soft and luxurious bamboo fabric.
Its empire waist allows comfort for your beautiful expanding belly
DURING LABOR & DELIVERY
Do you want to feel like yourself and not a patient?
Do you want to be able to do skin-to-skin and breastfeed immediately after your new bundle is born without the clumsy mess of the hospital gown?
Our gowns allow for this with snaps on the shoulder that allows for easy access, and if you have an IV they won't get tangled up!
WHAT IF I NEED A C-SECTION?
Our gown is the perfect solution to the ‘no pants’ policy after a c-section. After your c-section, you will find comfort in wearing one of our birthing gowns, as opposed to the traditional hospital gown during your extended hospital stay. Our gowns have an empire waist so it will not hit your incision (hence the ‘no pants; policy), and it allows for easy access during your incision inspections. You will also have the ability to air your incision during the healing process without feeling exposed. Our gowns are loved by all medical personnel, and, of course, you will love it as a new mom because it facilitates breastfeeding with easy and immediate breastfeeding access, which some moms find difficult in the bulky and stiff hospital gown.
NOTE: Some hospitals welcome our metal free birthing gowns right into the OR during a c-section, but some will not. However, you will be able to wear it during your extended 3 or more day hospital stay regardless.
